i have a 01 ws6 with a 12bold 3:73, steel drive shaft and stock t56 just got some et streets i do have some motor mods dyno a little over 400.

what is the weak spot now

transmission is the next to go. I rebuilt mine with viper internals at 425 rwhp.

nope, he's got an 01. those and the 02s' have stronger trannys' than your 98 or my 00

+1 on the clutch; unless you've allready upgraded that?

still, the stock internals on a nicely modded car does have more to be desired of. Clutch, yes it's good to about 400 then you'll get some slipping

the only thing that the '01-02 trans have are the upgraded shift forks and rails...external differences include slave cylinder... other than that internally they are identical. best thing you could do for that transmission is to get the torque arm off of it...stock GM around 400 horse is normal for a T56 relocate the torque arm you can easily see 500 ive seen 600...you would def have to have a bad ass clutch for that though...the torque arm puts way to much stress on the case and it actually starts shifting around the internal alignment of the transmission itself...other than that id say driveshaft...

01/02's have brass synchronizers, the previous years have carbon.
