I'm leaking power steering fluid somewhere, but I can't find the source, the bottom of my hood is always moist right over where the powersteering sits and anything around seams to be oiled up with it aswell.

Iv'e checked it out while @ idle and it seems to be fine i can't see any definite origin of where the leak may be coming from, I also have a whine when I rev the engine or in first gear acceleration it seems to be coming from the power steering.

Any suggestions are appreciated

have someone crank the wheel while your looking under the hood. That way is should build pressure in the hoses and you might see where it is leaking. I had a pulley cut a steering line on my truck and it wasn't fun to turn!!!

I had the same issue. I actuly fried the altinator becaue it keep leaking on top of it. It took about month to happen but it did happen. I finaly found the problem though. It was the resivuar it self. I detached it from the pump and sealed it with model airplane glue and then a layer of rubber cement. that was 2 years ago and it has never leaked since. The fluid that you are finding on your hood is from the air rushing up from under the car over the resivuar and smacking in to the hood. It is doubtfull that it is the actual pump as I had fist asumed when it happend to me.

i had a similar issue last year, mine was leaking bad... turned out to be a pressure hose or something to that effect
