Hi, I have a 98 Z28 and the rear end needs all new bearings. Are you able to take the 3rd member out and rebuild it on a table for example or do you have to work on it in the air? I was also wondering what would be the best modification to do next. It has 124,000 miles on it. I put a SlP cat-back on. I was thinking about a slp flopac. I was wondering what would be a really good modification that would increase power and life of the vehicle and that is not too expensive? As for the rear end either 3.73 or 4.10 but then i would have to buy a programmer which are expensive. Other than recalibrating things for the axle ratio are the programmers really worth buying?

get a 12 bolt. rebuilding the 10 bolt is worthless.

Misfit is correct. I'm telling you from money waisted here. Get a 12 bolt or a Ford 9 inch and you will never have to spend money on it again. And just go on to the 4.10:1 because you will sooner or later. I have my old 7.5 in the back yard and plan on dumping it into lake arlington as soon as the water level gets higher from the draught. Or if you want it?????????????
