View Full Version : Bolting in subthump stealth box?

I got one of the subthumb stealth boxes for the driver's side of the trunk the other day, though I haven't had time yet to try and put it in. My question is about the stud that's in the trunk, where the changer used to bolt in. Will this get in the way of the box? Would I end up having to get out the dremel and cut through the stud, or should I just put a hole in the bottom of the box, and put on a washer/nut to bolt it down (washer to keep the box sealed)?

Thanks

I still have the stud in mine and it still fits fine.

Oh, cool. Will try and just cram the box in there before I leave for work in the morning. :)

Again, you shouldn't have a problem, but if you do, just cut the bolt with a dremel or hack saw. Don't make any holes in the sub box.

Yep.. I got the box in there pretty well. I got rid of the bolt, because it wasn't letting the box sit down all the way. Looks like all of the carpeting in the area behind the trunk will have to be removed too, as the box doesn't currently sit as far back as it should (hits the T-tops).
