What rear tires are you running?

If it is a true radial tire (not drag) that might be a bit too low psi.

I've gone 1.8's on a true strret radial (28 psi) michelin mxv ? (I think that was the name) 255 50 16

I can't believe Mooresville is "Race City USA" and only has an 1/8 mile track. :wtf:
