So what would be the expense of a 383 stroker? I'm not talking about a new block, I'm talking about a kit crank, pistons, and rods installed into an ls1?

I'd like the cost of the actual kit And price that a shop would charge to install-general ballfields of course.

Let's see, stroker kit by lunati you're looking at about $4200 shipped depending which specs you go on. Misc gaskets, head gaskets etc, about $100-150. A shop to do it for you, it depends what shop. Most placed won't even touch an LS1 for $2000. Most machine shops will charge between $1500-$2200 for machining, line boring, honing, and assembly. If I were you, I'd pull the block yourself out of the car, and send it out with the parts to a reputable engine machine shop in your area and have them clean, machine, and assemble the entire engine so all you have to do is drop it back in. It'll probably run you around $6500 all said and done. I paid about $1200 for the machine work and cleaning for my heads and engine

Sarge, do they have a website? Couldn't find them on Google. (if you can believe there's something that can't be found on Google.)

Eagle 383 rotating assembly.Machine work Fully balanced, Deck, Line Bore, Honing, and assembly ($1500.00). Removal and reinstallation is roughly $1000.00. Then factor in $500.00 for a dyno and tune session. In my experience I found it cheaper to buy fully assembled short block from on vender. Rather then purchasing parts, taking them to a machine shop and then to a installation facility
