Hey, Im new here and looking for all the help I can. I have a 1984 GMC truck with 1999 LS1 Vette engine and tranny. Having issues with the trans. Will not down shift and stays in third gear. Where do I start

Hello and welcome. Something different in here-a LS1 truck. Cool.

I can't help you out with that But ask in General Help or Drive train.

post up in the drivetrain section under automatic transmissions. sounds like to me there is no power getting to the solenoids. that's what my wonderful transmission troubleshooting guides says. no power/ bad solenoids = default third gear.
