Hows it goin everyone? Im here to find out as much as i can on the new gen small blocks. I am currently building a 69 chevelle thats backhalfed and im just getting ready to take it and get the chassis certed for sfi 25.5. then im planning to build a single turbo ls1. any advice on strengths and weaknesses of these motors for high horsepower stuff would be appreciated :drivin:

talk to sarge or Ed. Are you forging the bottom end or gonna run boost on a stock bottom end? The stock bottoms are pretty decent but if you wanna run much boost at all you'll want to forge it. What year LS1 are you looking at?

Oh yeah....the stock 3/8" rod bolts....the rods the pistons....all good stuff...but not exactly what you want for a power added car....Sounds like a fun project.....we'll talk some more I'm sure :)
