I have them on the GTO and am pretty happy with them. They did great last year during the winter. I do notice some road noise with the windows down but not enough to really bother me. If the windows are down you're being beat to death with all types of noise anyhow.

Those come stock on the Goats...The General UHP's are far superior and less costly...now there is a combination you dont get too often...

I absolutly hate the KDW's!!! :ar: They cost a ton and they, at least on my car wore out way to quickly. They do well as far as traction but if you don't want to change your tires again in a year and a half I would go with something else. Currently I have been ussing the Nitto's and had good results and they do wear better. Maybe not quite the grip as a KDW but on the street the Nittos do well.

They grip really well. I've had them for a year and the tread seems to be holding up pretty good. They have gotten very weather cracked though, so I won't be buying any more of these.:cuss:

I have 4 of them on right now. They grip awesome dry or rain for the first few thousand miles. Then once a little worn they are just your average tire. Not worth the big $$ i paid for them. Like $660 for all 4. I'm going cheap next time.

I run the KDW's on the front. Great tire.
Unless you drive in the snow. You shouldn't need KDWS's

KD = Dry
KDW = Dry + Wet (3-season)
KDWS = Dry + Wet + Snow (all-season)

I ran em on my last SS. They held up good and did well in the rain. I also cut a 1.9 at the track with em. I am sure vht had something to do with that though.

I bought these for my camaro and they are really good, imo. They handle good, i don't hear noise from them on turns, but i got loudmouth exhuast. Also i noticed they are good in the rain, lots better then my daytona tires i had on before. And on a hot day, they do seem to grip the road better.

Has anyone used BFG G-Force Sports 245-50/ZR16 before? Also can I put any wider size lower profile tire on stock 16 in wheels,and what are the pros and cons (first newbie question) Thanks in advance

I have a set of these on my car and I like them. They have very good dry traction and do well in wet weather. Now when it is cold outside (40 and below) it will feel like your riding on four round bricks for a couple of miles until they heat up. Like the others have said these tires do wear through fast I have already rotated these tires once on my car, if your tires are the same size and you can rotate them expect to get 20K out of a set.

I got almost 20,000 outta my KDW's. Can't expect more than that outta a performance tire.

Ive been thru 2 sets of the KDWS. 1st set was back ordered for 6 wks because they had just came out with them.
I love the way they grip.
When you guys complain on how they wear out so fast,what do you expect?
If you want a tire thats going to grip the pavement you need a soft compound.
Try cornering on a tire thats as hard as a rock and see what happens.
As for a tire not gripping as good when it half worn,its due to the tires being tempered.Anyones fresh tire will out do a half worn one of another brand.
I wish I could afford to drive on tires that were replaced once a month.

i would stay far away from anything in the firestone family, unless you always drive the speed limit.

i pulled a 1.9 60' on my kdws and i am only runnin 320rwhp, i like the traction they have provided and they have lasted me about 20000miles, i dunno how much for the previous owner, but i have raced the shit out of these tires too, so they could prolly last longer,:)

NO! Good for rain, SHITTY for dry traction.
But, just to make sure, you said "KDWS" not "KDW"s (plural) right?

Here in Sunny central Fla it also rains ALOT.
KDWS works good in the rain and has a treadwear much higher that the KDW.
In our family car I dont push it hard enough to need KDs or KDW.
But not much out there that has at least a V rating which my car requires.

i am running these in 275/40/17 form and very happy. goodyear gs3s i had before gripped very well, but wore very bad--life was ok, but uneven though rotated; which caused rough ride and poor handling through pulling. These (BFG) have 10000 miles on them and are performing/looking great! I will say i prolly abuse them less after replacing tires 15 months after buying the goodyears! I got them for less than half the price of gs3's ($500/4) at tirerack.com. That prolly has a lot to do with my statisfaction with them! Tirerack.com = great place to get tires!
