I HAVE BEEN CURIOUSLY LOOKING AT THE FRONT OF MY SS, TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANYTHING I COULD DO TO IT THAT WOULD INCREASE THE AIRFLOW TO THE RADIATOR, OR LID (FRAM).

Upon taking off the ugly front black cover thing that says "CAMARO" on it, I noticed there is some material "inside" the bumper area that hypothetically could be cutout, allowing more air to rush inside to the radiator or lid area, causing what would hopefully be a little more airflow on the freeway perhaps..

what do you guys think... ever done this, or knew somebody who did...

positives/negatives of this idea...?

But why would you want to? Are you having cooling problems?

if your doing it for cooling problems id try 160 therm. and adjusting the temp at which your fans turn on, i think that would make a bigger difference

That styrofoam you see is actually a splash guard that re-directs the air up to the front of the lid. If you ever go out and look at the engine bay when it's dark, have someone shine a flashlight in the front openings on either side of the Camaro lettering. You should be able to see the light looking down below the washer fluid tank. It's actually engineered quite well. You cut it and you'll be taking cool air away from the front of the lid.

Do the free mod-under the air filter cut away the plastic. The radiator gets all the air it needs from under the car.

no cooling problems, I have a fan switch, I was just curious if it would be able to increse the airflow to the lid or radiator...

Not enough to make any "cooling" delta....you have more than enough airflow to cool...
