I have tried waxing my car many times before. I first washed, dried, clayed, then waxed with meguires NXT tech wax. I bought the paste, and im suprised its verrys hard to get onto the applicator pad. I litterally had to scrape some off and put it on. Also when i take it off im not impressed at all with th results. It doesnt have that "deep dark wet look" they claim it does. Am i doing something wrong. Also i bought meguires clay kit. How do i store the claybar??

You are using the right washing methods. I have always used the liquid rather than the pasteand get awesome results. The paste to me sounds like it would be alot of elbow work. try the liquid paste, apply to freshly washed dry car, in a shaded area and let it try to a haze, then wipe off with a microfiber cloth. I highly recommend the microfiber cloth.

1.) wash car and dry ( in shaded area)
2.) clay the car/ use a quick detailer w/claybar
3.) microfiber car after claying (removes any remaing clay)
4.) rewash car after claying and try (in well shaded area)
5.) apply step 1 Meguiars paint cleaner ( let it try to haze and microfiber off)
6.) apply step 2 Meguiars polish ( let it try to haze and microfiber off)
7.) apply step 3 Meguiars wax ( let it try to haze and microfiber off)

This is a long process, but well worth it. You will get the ultimate shine and protection for your paint that you strive for. It is time consuming.

What kinda aplicator are you using? If your using a lil pad or soft cloth then make sure you keep the applicator moist. Not wet but just damp and it will work better.

You may have gotten an old can of wax. I've had that happen to me before. I also use the NXT liquid wax and I'm very happy with it.
