Just wondering which way to go? have stock 3:23 gears with auto trans. i put a set of 10X26-16 slicks on and i now have a problem with keeping the vrevs up when it shifts to second because there is no wheel spin when it shifts. i have 315 35 17 street tires and run around 13.6 on my g timer, with a fair bit of wheel spin, but with the slicks i can't crack the 14 second mark although my 60 ft times are better because i'm hooking up. car is putting out 331 rwhp and has ashift kit, it is programmed to shift at 6500 rpm. wondering if gears are the way to go or will stall converter solve my 1-2 shift. thanks in advance for any advice. 97 ta 383 stroker.

Go with a stall. At least 3000 lock-up. I'm not a hard racer but its my.02

Here is a simple formula to determine if you need lower or higher gear ratio than what you have...
ET x MPH = 1335
If your answer is more than 1335,you need more gear.
If your answer is less than 1335,you need less gear.
