Does anyone know what years the mirrors and the Top of the car were painted the same color as the car, and what years they were just black, or was it an option or what? I was just curious.

:hmm: I don't know the exact years, I believe it was just random by dealer or customer option. You're talking about the black on the mirros and the B pillar right?

you know i was wondering the same thing. i have a silver 99 ss with black mirrors, and i dont see too many with the two different colors. thanks for the info though. :kick:

Thanks alot for the help, I really appreciate it. I need to get my mirrors painted anyway, I have a 99 With the black mirrors and top, should I get them painted black again, or the same color as the car?

i think the mirrors should be the same as the car and the top can be painted black again-that looks tight on a camaro, especially if you tint the windows

Yeah, that sounds cool. Well when I finally get around to doing it, I'll let you guys know how it turns out. But that could be a while since I don't really have sufficient funds right now.

check, out my z... mirrors are colored... top is black... i love that the z,s all have black tops thats why i didn't buy an ss, well that and i wanted the appearence package

If I couldn't have found the Light Pewter Metallic, I would only have gone with a White or Black one. I really like how yours looks, especially with the C6 wheels, I was thinking about getting those.:thumbup:
