So the other day I was sitting in my (white) Camaro in the grocery store parking lot pulling all the change from my holder to throw in the coinstar when some lady tries to pull her hulking Infiniti SUV in next to me (you know, that giant one, whatever it's called).

I'm assuming you can see where I'm going.

Anyway, she's nudging up REAL close so I'm about to get out to help her when I hear that ever-so-dreaded bumper on door panel scraping noise.

Well, fuck.

I get out, start checking out the damage (black Infiniti bumper vs. white Camaro door, you do the math) and she's being really nice about it, not only giving me her insurance card, but $60 to "ease my pain" on top of that.

Long story medium, I'm checking out the detail section at the Kragen where I work and decide to spend some of that $60 on Scratch X before I deal with insurance.

Then today I took the car and Scratch X to my local do-it-yourself wash/wax, and put a bunch on a terry towl and just started rubbing and rubbing.

HOLY DAMN SHIT!

Within 5 minutes of the rubbing, there was not a single trace of black paint left on my car. Not only that, but the long ass scratch was nowhere to be found!

I got so excited (don't have to deal with insurance) I started yelling in the middle of the carwash and freaked out some RX7 owner in the next "stall."

So, now, 1/8 bottle of Scratch X later, I have an almost brand new looking door panel, no insurance qualms, and $51 spending cash.

Sorry about the rant, I just really needed to tell somebody about this stuff.

I mean, the scratch wasn't deep, but it was easily visible from pretty far away and that paint was NOT coming off.

I'm totally recommending this to EVERYONE from now on.

Only thing I can say is that you HAVE to follow the instructions on the back of the bottle.

I tried a little the night before without fully washing the car, just spraying it a little with water, and it didn't do shit.

Sorry to hear it didn't work for ya.

Its good stuff, excellent for taking out surface scratches and removing scuffs.

However, nothing will help if the scratch is into the metal.
