I am planning on putting some new tires on my 99 Z28 Camaro. I think I want to put drag radials on but I am still not sure. What do you guys suggest. After I am done with this car the only thing that will be left to do will be to make it look nice. It is already a total sleeper car but after the engine mods are done, and a new racing tranny as well as new clutch and flywheel this thing is going to haunt peoples nightmares. :uzi:

If you are driving on the street, DR's

DRs will have better stability at higher speeds. i have both versions of the M/T ET Streets. the first ones are just like slicks with tiny grooves in them. at higher speeds 60+ they start to squirm. you feel like the car is swaying. the radials don't do that.

depends on brand. my nitto 555r were just fine in the rain. both m/t et streets i can't go over 40 mph if it's raining.

Agreed.

I run the 315 Nitto DR's as my street tires. I don't daily drive my car, but I have gotten caught in some rain. Once on a mountain pass driving semi-aggressive.
The Nitto's did much better than expected.

For me....
Street duty = Nitto DR's (315/35/17)
Track duty = M/T DR's (275/50/15)

At least that is what I am running for now at the track. Probably try something else once these M/T's are toast.
Both tires are basicly the same width.
I have cut a 1.868 short time on the Nittos mounted on heavy TTII's.
Yet to run the M/T's at the track. Have heard I can pull off 1.6x short times fairly easily.

i think it all depends on how much you drive and in what weather...slicks are fine if you don't go very far or drive everyday..other then thati would get dr

actual slicks are not allowed on the highway. not DOT approved and are well, slick with no tread pattern to them.
