View Full Version : Need Striping Opinion
For a while I've been considering getting a rally stripe kit for my TA. I love the way they look on the 98-02 birds but I don't see as many on the 93-97. I like the ones that start at the scoops on the hood, and end on the hatch lid and spoiler. But I'm not 100% sold on whether I would like it or not on my car. I was considering a black stripe kit but I want some second opinions... be as brutally honest as necessary. A search on google images got me this picture, identical to my car but I have C6 rims and no t-tops.

Thanks!
I think i'll take the great lack of responses as a big NO. i'm just trying to give it a little extra something to look at.

i dont think it would look bad, but i dont like the 96/97 ws6 hoods... if you are gonna do it you need to get the hood that is 98+ syle that fits lt1's... and run it down the top of the nostrils...

p.s. seeing that you have a 93 now that means you have a formula style wing and are not wearing that particular hood... ummmm if you are gonna do it.... my HO is... ge a t/a raised wing... get a 98+ ws6 style hood and do like medium/dark (not silver) grey stripes... and dont just do like 2 large double stripes up your hood... do a large middle one with a pin stripe on each side of each strip...

i would have to say go with the 94 anniversary style stripe. then you'd be all kinds o' pimp.

I do have a t/a raised wing, and that hood. I just put the hood on this spring. I mean it literally, the only difference between that car in the picture, and my car is the rims and the t-tops.
I'm not sure if i really like the 94 anniversary stripe, basically if just the regular racing stripes wouldn't look good on it, then i won't do any at all. sorry to be negative, i really do appreciate the input!

I dont think stripes would look good either on that hood, plus it will take away from the look of the hood and I dont think theres a suitable color for the stripes that will look good imo.

oh. :dot: i think they look good. they look good on my white car, and my burgundy car looks just like that picture up there, i was even thinking about putting the silver ones on it cuz it has silver emblems. oh man, its too early to think.

being a car detailer myself i personally think black stripes would look dirty on that color, silver maybe, or just leave it be it looks cherry the way it is.

Car has a very clean look to it as is, I would leave it :)
Yeah I took most of the advice here and ended up just leaving the car as is. Cleaner look. Thanks for the input and helping somebody out that's horribly color blind so definately needs help in this category.

Maybe some side stripes. I was thinking about these but, then I just left it alone as a black car really doesn't need anything other than black.
Hope this helps.
