totally confused.......does a 2000 trans am M6 have a hurst shifter from the fatory??
or was that yet another option that not all of them came with? thanks for the help.

it's an order option. you would have a HURST if your shift knob has an "H" on it. But, then again anyone can just buy the knob. it's not the shifter itself (it's the factory looking one with bends), its the shift plate and fork that is the HURST along w/the leather wrapped knob w/the "H".

If you still aren't sure, do what I did and buy a Hurst Competition Plus Shifter. It has spring loaded internals for a closer shifting pattern and a much better feel.

just go get a Pro 5.0 and call it a day MUCH BETTER shifter IMO

huh. well, mine has all kinds of bends, and a leather knob, but no H on it to speak of....the pattern is a lot closer than my 03 GTi....so it took some getting used to (you know.....wanna do the 3-4 shift, but mistakenly hit 2nd....it's a loud and possibly expensive mistake....) So, it's close, but I guess it isn't a Hurst....damn.
Is an aftermarket tough to put in by yourself?

where did u get that shifter? do u have a part number? thanks
