Did some running tonight [aug 18, 2006]. It was pretty nasty weather for my first run: 90 and high humidity. That was 14.03 @ 106.32

As the sun set and more rubber got laid down my times/trap got better. my best time was 13.69 @ 107.32 I also turned my defroster to high-heat and that helped a lot too, i think. Over all i'm pleased as this was my first time and i have street tires with 40k+ miles on them

mods:
clear lid/k&n
borla cat back
konis
tq arm
35mm front sway
lca's

So putting the heater on or defroster, cool the car off and unleash a couple horsepower?

I prefer popping my hood to let out the hot air for awhile. Usually i'll let the car sit for a good hour and a half. Anyways, nice times. Is this an A4 or M6? I'm guessing it's an M6 by the 60' and trap speed (A4's are easier to get out of the hole from what i've seen, but don't trap as high on the average). Anyways nice times. With similar mods and the same 60' my car only ran a 13.7 @ 104mph. Now, of course, it is modded.

In short your car sounds strong.

For basically stock cars on street tires you guys are running pretty respectable times. I can assure you that CTS-V wasn't stock. :)

On my 17" Nitto DR's I have cut 1.8xx a couple times.
Just warm them up for about 7-8 seconds or until you see a good amount of smoke.

I did have problems before though. 2.234 was the best before rearend install.
Track prep was also better the day I was able to cut the 1.8xx's.

Dunlop's !!! Watch for heat blisters, and when you think your wheel bearings are bad think again! (it's the tire). It's ok bro they stick, but you will go threw them like toilet paper!! I boycott them along time ago!:ar:

i've never took them to the track, and they havent gotten heat blisters when i've done a few burnouts, i'll take your word for it being i've done probably 7 burnouts max
