View Full Version : MTI G1 cam, what power did it make for you?

I have a MN6 LS1 that dynoed 320 RWHP with just a Halltech Stinger. MTI installed an LS6 intake, U/D pulley, Kooks headers with highflow cats and a G1 cam along with their tuning and I am up to 375-380 RWHP. I know of a 02Z with almost the exact mods and stock heads putting down 420 at the wheels and was surprised the LS6 heads make a 40 RWHP difference.
Just wondering what others that have run this cam are making.

No one else running this cam? I originally wanted a stealth but the guy at mti recommended this cam to me and said it was similar (which it is not).

Ditto, does the 02Z have LS6 heads? Did you get a dyno graph? We are running the RS X1 (230/227 112LSA) which is in the neighborhood of the G1 (228/232 113LSA)... We did 385rwhp/386rwtq with the X1 and bolt-ons (without a UD Pulley) and through a 3400/2.2 TC (A4 car).
IMHO you should be putting down more than our car due to our A4, TC, and lack of UD pulley...

Yeah, the 02 is a Z and I am just a coupe. The Z has the LS6 heads and intake manifold, I got the manifold on mine but not the heads.

:yup: All of the other boltons were the same, down to the 17/8 Kooks with cats.

I have always thought that, makes me wonder.
Did you get a dyno graph?
Yeah, I'll see if I can get it posted.
