2001 ws6 CAM options

I have an 01 WS6 with 18500 miles and am looking to replace the cam.

I was looking at the Gen 3 GM hot cam kit, anybody have this and know what to expect as far as gains, idle issues, reason for lookin at his cam kit is because I get GM discount for being a service manager there. Im open to anyother cam ideas though.

Im looking for a cam that will have good gains, but I dont want stalling or idle issues, whats the highest intake and exhaust and lift I should go without having troubles?

I know the GM847 ( I think that's the cam) makes great gains on LT1's. I honestly don't know much about GM cams. sorry.

You're going to get alot of answers and opinions on this question. Are you looking for a stock idle or a lope? I run an MTI Stealth cam. Here is a link to the same cam setup I run and love it. Check this guys dyno numbers, I can't wait to see what mine pulls. Hope it's ok to hyperlink.

screw the discount you get threw gm. the hotcam is junk compared to whats out there.
the best cam for a daily driver car is the 224/224 114 lsa.
thats the cam im running and would jit 11s if i had slicks

Are you running stock exaust? What kind of transmission? Stalled? Just a couple of question you need to know.

When I do the cam I will go with new heads and LT's with ORY and catback, might even upgrade injectors if needed.
