ws.666 vs Mustang GT

somewhere north of columbus, oh on 71 i met up with a 01+ mustang gt. Light yellow, with black stripes, it was all stock. It's been well over 3 months since my last street race and i was hungry, so i got next to him and reved for his attention and dropped to 3rd in preperation for take off. The guy was doing about 65 and yelled out the window "i have 2 tickets, on this road" and seemed to shake his head like he wasn't intrested. So i kinda waved him off, shifted out of third and all of a sudden WHAM! he shot off! no warning, no beeps! I slamed back into 3rd and floored it. He had me by atleast a car and a half and it took me until the top of 4th to catch up @ 110 and finally kill him by 125ish, but he may have backed off by then?

I was so pissed! I slowed back down to see if he'd actually race AT THE SAME TIME and he just yelled "i beat one of those in the quarter mile too!" and just kinda had this smug look on his face. I couldn't get him to bite again. What a duche.

Yea they have poons like that around here!!!! Dude came up to me last night and said all i have in a neon so i followed him out and he said he didnt want to get a ticket!!! I hate people that do that shit!!!

If its anything like the GTO, 90 is tops for 3rd. With stock gears its 30 for 1st, 60 for 2nd, 90 for 3rd, 120 for 4th, and so on.

Yeah, that was pretty weak how he took off while talking to you. I would have spanked him too.

i had one pull that shit on me a few weeks ago....i caught up to him at 3/4 throttle, i saluted him out the window, then punched it and flew by....he dove off at the next exit and never would line back up....


of course, im a big cam LS1 with 4.10 gears, so i knew i didnt have to try very hard :)

As for the rest of them, I see a Mustang like that I generally just laugh a little and keep driving normally. Waste of my gas against a weak RWD 2door "FAMILY CAR" And thats all the respect I have for the GT in that era.

Yes, ohh yes indeed. I am shooting for a somewhere is the means of 550-600 rwhp n/a, full race, fuel cell, fire system ect. And I was more pointing out on the Mustang guys I run into around here, honestly I think on the street I have run into 1 built mustang, every other one I see or look at, is a bone stock GT/Cobra, and some kid driving it thinking he can take anything on the road. So honestly there what is the sense? I don't think I'm being that bad. Anyday some respectable looking car pulled up next to me driving it, without a doubt I would give them the run, but never a bone stock, waste my time why? And I say those parts, because generally if someone goes through that kinda trouble, they have something else behind it, and if you can't hear 600hp out of a 4" exhaust pipe, you need to get your hearing checked.

Honestly guys here, I see the Mustang kids around here get destroyed by Civics off the line.... Unfortunatly, I have a few friends who are heavy into Mustangs, and they have some insane built ones, but I never see them on the street.

And I didn't say anything about having it soon.. Lol I have a few more dollars to make I think. I figure around 2 years away yet. And I say it more because I can't wait to have it becuase I see these kids try to do it, and I just want to have it happen to me so I can get a good laugh.

Yea, but 4 inch exhaust, racing seats, seat belts... I have seen a few civics that use those as there first mod lol that was the only reason I said anything. Sounds like it will be a nice car thou.

No I can understand the thought process there, its beyond true...

But ya, hopefully one day, I just don't know what I will have to do to get that kinda power n/a.. I have seen 450ish rear wheel n/a out of LT1's with 12 bolt posi's... Not sure what I will need to do, but it will be alot thats for sure.
