Security light stays on

My son has a 1995 Camaro 3.4 and the security lights stays on. What causes the security light to illuminate. Beside taking the light bulb out of the dash, where do you look to get rid of this light?

Have you replace any parts or disconnected the battery lately? If not do you have another ignition key? If so then try dis-connecting the battery and leavin it sit for about an hour and then re-connect and try different key and see if it goes away..

Thanks for the response. The Camaro was bought witht the security light and it oly came with one key. I'll disconnect the battery and let it sit for an hour.

So you bought the camaro with the light on? If so i would take it back too the dealer too get fixed.

I bet the key is dirty, that's when mine used to do it
