Very nice looking :) Are there any heat issues with the turbos near to the transmission?

Very nice looking :) Are there any heat issues with the turbos near to the transmission? The C5 twin turbo kit will provide significant heat sheilding so heat won't be a problem. :zoom: :D

Here's a new pic of the APS C5 twin intercooled twin turbo system with the optional extreme fuel system that I got from our web guy today................this pic shows the speed density version ( MAF deleted) though the production APS twin turbo system will retain the mass air flow housing as requested by many forum members, enjoy!:)

Thanks for the kind words guys, greatly appreciated. I don't have a final power/torque graph though the C5 ZO6 went from 350 whp stock to 595 whp twin turbocharged at just under 9 PSI and the engine tuning is not final yet. :)

Whilst I'm here, the latest pic of the C5 twin turbo system with the MAF meter installed, the MAF meter will be retained in the APS C5 twin turbo system and a speed density package will be a future option, enjoy!

This pics are great dude, seen them makes me wanna have a brain damage!!!!LOL

Anyway, I was talking recntly with Nelson PErformance cause we want to do the same in a 2006 Z06, is there a chance to adapt ur system to the new body?

Is there that much difference?

There will be a fully engineered intercooled twin turbo system to suit the C6ZO6 released around mid 07. :)

Hi Guys, Here's the first set of power and torque graphs from the APS intercooled twin turbo system on bone stock C5 ZO6 engine at just 7.6 PSI boost pressure. As you can see from the graphs provided the rear wheel torque has been increased by approx 220 FTLBs and the rear wheel power by approx 230 whp.:naughty:

http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/corvette/c5/c5_stock_vs_turbo.gif

The graph below shows power verus boost pressure and the peak boost is approx 8 PSI tapring off to 7.6 PSI in the higher rpm range. The boost taper (approximately 1/2 a PSI) is caused by the increased exhaust back pressure (back pressure is approx 6 PSI at max power) as we have retained the stock rear muffler in the base twin turbo system. A larger rear muffler with higher exhaust gas flow would allow full boost in the higher rpm range and this larger muffler is currently in development and will be available as an upgrade option in the near future. :yup:

Obviously the APS twin turbo system is capable of much higher power and torque at higher boost levels with a forged engine. As this C5 is owned by a private individual we purposely kept the boost conservative in order to provide safe engine operation. It's worth keeping in mind that the base turbochargers have sufficient mass air flow for around 800 to 850 whp at approx 15 PSI for the guys who want to get more serious and have the budget for a nicely prepared forged engine. :D

Hi Guys, Just a quick update on the C5 twin turbo system. Our head tech just dyno tested the twin intercooled twin turbo system with high flow rear mufflers (APS developed rear mufflers which will be released in early 07) and after a little tweaking on the engine tune the stock ZO6 engine produced 640 rwhp and 622 rwtq at just 9 PSI boost on 93 octane fuel. Now I'm not entirely sure how durable the stock ZO6 engine will be at this power/boost level though it certainly shows that there's plenty of power potential in the little 346 cube engine.

Stock Power and Torque vs APS C5 twin turbo Power and Torque.
