I was browsing a few of the Fbody forums and came across a thread for stripping clear coat and paint off of wheels. I'm seriously thinking about doing this and polishing the hell out of my wheels. I am wondering what everyone's opinion of this might be. My wheels are a bit out of the ordinary, so who knows.
Here is a picture of one of my wheels as they sit now.

I strongly advise against it. Those look like they are some expensive rims and I wouldnt want to see you ruin them. It can be done. Eugenio I beleive did it with some ZR1 rims. I tried with SS rims and they were just too hard to sand. It will take you a lot of time and effort and I am not sure if I think it would be worth it.

the wheels seem to be very hard to get it well done... lot of little small places.
I did it on mine, took my time during winter.
i stripped the paint/clear with aircraft remover.
then wet sanded them going with smaller and smaller grade... to then polish them... came out nice... I polish them once every 2 years... still look like new.

sill, I would recommend taking off those side moldings... makes it look a lot smoother
