Need some advice on wheels for my 2000 SS convert/6-speed. Am interested in using the Z06 or C5 wheels off of a 'vette. Any advice or thoughts on using the 18"/rear and 17"/front combination? Does this set up look cool or odd on Camros? Is this a good way to go, or does anyone know of something better?
The car has been lowered one inch in the back and 1.5 in the front, if that makes any difference. The springs (Ground Control units from WS6.com)are adjustable, however, so the height can be changed.
I have a stock 17" 10-spoke painted wheel on the car now. This set up is okay, but I want something new, and I really think 18" is the way to go.
Thanks

just got through putting the C5 wheels on the wife's car. 17"/18" combo. looking cool or odd is up to you. it's your car.
use tire sizes of 255/45-17 and 285/35-18. that way they are both the same diameter and won't throw an ABS code. and will keep the speedo correct.

you can always get the 18s and have them on all 4 corners.
acarnut user had 18x10.5 on all corners, he has a pewter SS convertible with slammed suspension.

Just make sure its the correct offset for your fbody, or they will rub & it will look stupid .

I had a set of corvette wheels for my 99 Z-28. It looked very good but I sold them and I am in the market for 98 -04 Corvette magnesium wheels. Did not have any spacers or rub problems and my car is lowered. Go for it, you will be happy!
