only 1 way to find out! I've found a couple just not ones i like... I'm lookin at a 96 Z28 right now the guy wants 2500 for it.. it just wont pass smog. he also lives in cali so i would have to go get it.. and i've made that drive before.. its a long one!

yea its pretty low.. a guy had a 97 Z28 6 speed he wanted to sell me.. but it had like 147k miles.. he wanted 4500 for it.. i wanted it for a while but i realized its just too much for the mileage

yea i dont know about hte purple maybe i'd paint it but who knows.. the price is so cheap though, so i mean i'd have extra cash to paint it and whatever... i just dunno about it not passing smog test... could be somethin major (like the piston slap ur talkin about)

lol... oh yea about that 97 Z, its in great condition... and it has like a 700 dollar sounds system.. its not all that bad really. i just dont want it because anything could go bad. and soon

my 2001 ws6 has piston slap but its not very bad but its only got 24k on it. gm says it is normal and alot of ls1 owners have it. some worse than others. im just worried about mods with the slap. all well if i blow it up it will just make me get a better stronger ls1. i will never sell this car i love it i dont care if i had to live on the beach

yup my buddys has by far the worst i have heard and runs a 12.3 consistantly

How is your oil consumption?

doesnt burn very much oil at all i run royal purple it burns about 1/2 a quart every 3000

As long as you only hear the noise on cold starts and it goes away after the car has warmed up, you should be fine to mod it.
