Which chamber size?

Recap:
I have a Comp Cam's 222/224
@.50, 112 LSA, .556, .560 lift. I have upgraded the valvetrain to
complment this cam along with 1.8 rockers (not yet). I will also have a LS6 intake, ported throttle body or aftermarket, underdrive pulley, and long tube headers. Once the project is all together, I will get a custom tune. I do not mind a higher compression, but I also do not want to have to have it sky high either. I might have to "flycut" the pistions due to the 1.8 rockers. I want as
much power as I can get!

Patriot Performance offers LS6 bare heads for $745 a pair. That includes guides, seats and CNC chambers. They give you a choice on what chamber size you can have. It varies from, 59, 64, 68, 72. Which one?

Keep in mind. No nitrous, no boost. This motor is going to be in a street driven car. I want as much horsepower as possible. In case you were wondering.

64.45 is the stock cc for the ls6 heads. Id shoot for 62 or 59. You can play with this to check your SCR: http://www.rosspistons.com/calculator.php
I think the 1.7 rockers are fine. There isnt much need to bump up to the 1.8's. Make sure you get the proper size PR's. what gaskets are you going to use?

to much lift with the rocker arms if you go 1.8.
you will have to fly cut the pistons

not to mention springs that will take the added lift.

The springs are good to .600. I think you guys have scared me away from the 1.8s. :lol:

59cc's is the way to go. Higher compression and cam's not big enough to cause p-v issues.

Can you guys give me a good idea on the horse power numbers with the different chambers?
