I think any Mod on a Mustang... no no no, one of those rice burners. Yeah, that's it. That's the biggest waste of money. :p

Just trying to be funny. Sorry man.
I haven't done many myself. I've been told there really aren't any bad mods, though. An airbox (K&N or other) and cat backs are both pretty good bangs for the buck.
That SS hood (had it on my 99) is reputed to be all show, no go. If you want to do that for a performance mod, that's a waste of money, in my opinion. For looks... well, it's debatable if its worth the cost. I skipped the SLP stuff on my 02 Z28.

Any aftermarket MAF. That $200+ is better spent somewhere else on the car for sure

From the looks of th eother thread, a K&N is the 'new' shit product out.
So an underdrive pulley for a gto really makes the a/c that bad? I see txcosmos is in Houston though.

Oh I wouldn't label KN as "shit"...I am convinced there are better alternatives...but KN is better than OEM in my book for damn sure.....My UD pulley didn't effect my A/C and I'm in South Texas also....

I don't know...that's why I want to go back to stock and get it checked out. The power steering is pretty hard too. No cooling issues with the water pump though.

for the ls1, the worst mod would be the SLP traction controll module, all it does is turn the asr off instead of on when you start the car, the same effect can be accomplished with a piece of tape on the switch, lil secret i discovered

If your refering to performance engine mods or suspension or any mod?
If it's the engine then there is no money wasted except maybe the MAF.
If it's the suspension then it would have to be the BMR strut tower brace.
If it's cosmetic or appearance mod then it got to be the full sport appearance package at $1800 wholesale or $2400 retail off the showroon floor.

Correction my friend from downunda, mine cost $12 duckies... I think it's Ok as far as the bang for it's buck goes... I agree with other guys, aftermarket MAF's are a joke, when you are considering paying anywhere from $175 used up to $340 new.. Also HypertechIII programmer is overrated piece of u know what.. I can see paying $120-$150 new not $290-$340... Now that is just plain bullshit :cuss:
