what is the most desired F-body?

I was/am a mopar guy at heart and there are a few "dream" mopars. like a 1970 Hemi Cuda Convertible, or the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona.

is there an F-body equivalent? the anniversary editions? a certain year? a certain generation?

just curious.

you will get every answer here some will say 01-02 for a little more perforance, some will say the loaded slp ones. some will say t tops some will say verts. some may say hard tops. but i think mostly here it is color. som orange. can't wait to see some replies here.

I would say 1 of 69 1969 ZL1 (427CID) Camaro, then COPO and Yenko Camaro's, then 1969 Trans Am, for later models, Firehawks due to limited numbers, there should be a spot for the V6 Turbo TA not sure what year 1989 or so.

from what I can gather the firehawk is the only real limited production f-body, is that correct?

I mean, the 70 hemi cuda convertible, there were only 14 or 15 total. I forget the exact number this second.

I know the Yenko, COPO and such are desirable models as well. I was just curious is there was a must have model in the genre.

69 Trans Am Vert would fetch alot for sure There were only 8 made. Other than that a 73 455 SD is very saught after as well as mentioned the 89 TTA's. Possibly an original 76 Limted Edition TA, which had a 455 and was the first with Hurst hatches and the gold pinstriping scheme later seen in 77. Only 643 of them were made with T tops.

I know someone with a 1997 camaro SS LT4. It is 1 of 100 that came with the LT4. Its gotta be the rarest 4th gen. It freakin awesome! There is also 100 '97 birds with the LT4.

Everyone always says the Yenko camaro but those were just a COPO order car with stickers, don't get me wrong I would still like to have one in my garage. But, a true build to order and rare collectable would be any of the Baldwin Motion camaros, chevelles, novas, vets, and ZL1 camaros.

Broke down to 250 convert. and 1250 with t-tops.

I like the way you think. IMO, the "choice" birds would be:

1st gen: '69 T/A 'vert (only 8 made, 1 going up for auction at ACD this year)
2nd gen: '73 SD-455 (SDs are badass, and '73 styling rules)
3rd gen: '89 Turbo T/A Indy Pace Car (fastest 3rd-gen f-bod, and up 'til that time the fastest T/A made and only one w/ less than 8 cyls)
4th gen: '98 WS6 'Vert 6-sp (rarest year, triple black preferred) ;)

any year of the firehawk in formula trim...

formulas are rare just by themselves.. not to mention a hardtop version.. and to have a hardtop firehawk formula.. that would be dope.. oh yeah a 98 transam with the LIMITED production next gen 3 spoke flat design.. looks like the 3 spoke that came on 93-97 formulas and ta's I would love to get my hands on some of those

ummm yeah stage 2 black bird... 50 per year wer made (stage 1)... to my knowledge only like 7 were ever converted to stage 2 (pretty sure the on in the ad is a stage 2. if i remeber correctly stage 1 = 380 hp, stage2 = 435, stage 3 has a damn 427 in it none ever made)

sooo i would say that is the rare of the rare in recent fbodies...

someone correct me if im wrong on this stuff...

In 1997 there were only 27 Lt-4 firehawks to be built and one of them would be nice to have, but i also love the camaros with the L-t4. The motor pretty much makes the power of a Ls-1 and some before you could even dream about what a ls-1 could do.

Lol...I remember me and the wife back in '98 (after seeing the infamous "Stoplight" black WS.6 TV commercial!), looking for a WS.6 PERIOD in our area (black)....you stood a better chance of finding a dino egg...! So we got tired of hunting, and just got a "regular" T/A, and a then-new ASCD ram air hood and a lower air box, and later MTI clear lid. Gawd, that car still ROCKS!!!  Don't know how many actual WS.6's were made in '98...but I don't think there was a lot.

As with many, I would go with the 69 Trans Am Convertible. I know there was only 8 made, but i did some research one time and I believe only 3 are known to exist. Believe it or not my 94 Trans Am Convt is pretty rare. Only made like 250 Convertible TA Gt's with the trans. performance option. But I love the 99 30th Annv Inverse. (blue with white stripes) and of course the Collector's Edition.

in that ebay ad it say "#1026 never been titled" but it has 17k miles on it.

unless I do not understand what "never been titled" means, how did the car get 17k and not be titled/licensed?
