I think you have a lot more to go... especially since its auto

depends on the mods and how hard it gets driven really. If it's fairly modded and/or tuned you're lucky to still be cruising, but if it's all stock it may last for many more years. You never know

it all depends on how it was driven

I've beat the ever living snot out of mine and it has 98k on it with a stall, no torque management, shift durations cut in half, and line pressure up. No problems but since I've said that it'll take a dump on me the next time I have it out. :D
Get a cooler and change your fluid regularly. That'll help.

I have friends that have around 80-115k on them and beat the piss out them without any problems and talked to another guy that baby's his with 54k on one and had to have it rebuilt. So who knows...

HAHA, you know you don't actually HAVE to put why you edited right?

I know that, but I'm just used to doing that at work for edit's and everything else. It's a bad habit!

I do the two in pink one in the stink exercise program, but it doesn't help much. :dunno:

Mine just went out, just over 98k. Not sure exactly what is wrong with it though. Reverse, 2nd and 4th no longer work. I am waiting to upgrade to a brand new one instead of spend 2k for Aamco to "remanufacture."

Any suggestions on what to buy? I am having trouble finding street/strip tranny's that are under that 2k range.

Yeah, talk to the guys at the local 1/8th and 1/4 with the same powertrain you have and have them give you their "trial-and-error" stories. Most of the time you'll always find certain people who know where to go, and someone who knows how to rebuild an automatic. Just ask around, $2k is waaaay too expensive, much less $3k. Hell you can buy a BRAND NEW GM 4L60E with a warranty for $1800 from GM Performance Parts. Not too sure where you're looking, but it's definately not in the right place. 2 of my buddies have had theirs done by a guy with the username 12secondZ off the camaroz28.com site, he's located in Maryland but he's DAMN GOOD! You may want to check him out...
