View Full Version : Tech Moderator Applications

We are possibly looking for new Tech Moderators.
Is it you? Are you up to the Task?
Moderators need to be here almost on a Daily Basis.
They would watch over their forum and help members with their questions.
They would create new threads. And Enforce the Rules of the Site.

And don't forget, you don't have to be a Mod to help the members.

Applicants have to be unbiased. And stay neutral.
Trouble Makers and Members with Warnings Need not Apply.

If this is you, post up why you think you should be a Moderator.
And what forums you would be interested in watching.
Some background about you would help.

Any questions please post them here.

I'd like to moderate the stereo forum. I've done all the audio stuff to my old 91 RS and my new 98Z myself. I don't have any formal training, but from what i've done, i could answer a lot of the questions that come up on the stereo board. if you look through the stereo board, you'll see some of the work that i've done.

A list of Addition thread I wouldn't mind modding.

V6 Section - Had one before I swapped an LS1 into it so I'm familiar with the mods

Firebird/WS6 - Since I own one with H/C, know a lot of their history, build codes, ect...

Suspension and Handling - I've got a setup on my car that pulled 1.004g on the skidpad

Showcar and Detailing - I've tried just about every product out there

Stereo and Electronics - I've rewired a 94 camaro to be OB2 when I did an LS1 swap, have fixed shorts in the dash and power mirrors, have replaced window motors, and rewired stereos in a 94 camaro and 00 bird. I have also fixed a few monsoon headunits and have the ac delco repair manual for them.

I'm Joe. I was on here a bunch during the first LS1.com. Just started getting into the second version recently. Basically, I spend almost my entire day on the boards because I have computer access at work lol. I would have something to add in any of the sections and would like to modd any of them. I have had my Camaro since I could drive and have been on the site almost that long. Plus, a dancing banana. :nana:

I would LOVE to help out in the Appearance Section. I have done tons of modifications to my car and all of them myself. My car as made it into different GM and Camaro magazines with several page spreads including making the cover. I know VB very well as I own and run my own forum with it - ProjectCamaro.com. I was a big part of this site years ago before the database was lost and I've just been a little slow coming back on. I check the forum several times a day and if a mod I'll just live in the Appearance Section even more so.
Yes it's an outdated picture (new ones coming tomorrow) it still show's the basic look of my car.

I would be interested in helping out in any section, I've built a 99 FRC blown Corvette and have the time to be online to help. My job gives me the opportunity to be online too. I work 3rd shift and could help with the graveyard shift. Thanks

Mebbe not. But I got 40 weight Cosworth running in my veins held together by C&W quick connects. My pecker has a .710 lift without any blue pills and comes on strong out of the hole. My fuel pump maintains a steady 62lbs. of pressure....without any boost a pump...my ECM misfires every once in awhile though...my tuner sez it is because I abused it back in the 60's :)

i would help out... though im probably considered a trouble maker... i would be glad to watch over the vette forum, i know the ropes around here pretty well and have been around since b4 the crash... i have over 1000 post, most of which are from the AAG section under 20 of which come from a train of any kind. Some warnings of mine were recently removed, but 5 of the 6 were pretty much BS and the other was prolly 8 months old...

Oh yeah i have a mechanical engineering degree and though im not a car god because of my lack of cash i have been working on vehicles and around them all my life. Cars actually are my life...

I would be glad to help with the LT1 section. I've been messing around with LT1's for quite a while now. I think a might have some good information to pass on to others. I have built my own 355 Procharged LT1, and helped several people out with their cars. If I don't know the answer to something I have several sources that I can find the answers.

Hey Ed I wanna try and help out madseason and mrr23 with a couple of threads if I could. I have never been known to cause trouble here and will be able to help out in a few areas..

I would like to help with the stereo and electronics section since before I joined the army I helped out a local shop with installs, now work as an aviation electrician and am really good with wires and troubleshooting, and have personally installed a 3300 watt stereo in my T/A so its safe to say I can help make music lol..

I would also like to help out in the Nitrous section. I have a car over 100,000 miles and have put about 200lbs of nitrous through it safely ranging from 50- 175 shot in the last 2 years and that should speak for itself..

I think I could also help out the drag racing forums by providing tips/tricks, helping to explain altitude correction, and just general ways to keep ets down.
With that I think I could also help keeping trouble makers out of the kill stories threads since I read through those for entertainment everyday at work.

well that's it just lemme know

This site seems to need a lot more babysitting than the
ones I already mod at. If you're looking for disciplinarians
that would not be me. I don't mind helping people but
they have to wipe, for themselves. Computers & Tuning
is the only section I'll admit to looking in on with any
regularity. Though it seems to be pretty low activity
and doesn't look to need much help.

Do babysitters get fridge priveleges? And do you have
HBO?

If you need another moderator for the General Help section I am up for the task. Been a member her since 2002, have given advice in the audio forums many many times(most my posts are there). Own a 2002 Z28 and also drag race for the local CCC ET drags, I have also done many appearance mods and I am always willing to help and treat people with respect. I am also a member of a large Camaro club in my area and help out with issues there too. I am a mental health counselor in life, so I can keep myself under control when people get out of hand and act like fools. I'm 39 and here to learn and help people when I can.
