engine idle trouble help!

How bad? You mean just different? With the AC clutch engaged and fans at high speed at idle it will put more of a load on the motor/electrical system. Throwing any codes?

what's done to your car, stock? I'm having the same problem, but it's because of the cam, and I haven't quite perfected the idle w/ac in the tune.

How many miles? If the car is stock it should idle fine with the A/C on, so it could be extra drag caused by the clutch or possible some other items.

Would the idle air control valve effect this? If it's dirty it will cause rough idle.

Part of basic maintenance on most EFI cars these days is to clean items such as the IAC. They often get caked with carbon and other deposits.

The IAC is the round item bolted to the right side of the throttle body, towards the top with a wire connector on it. It's removed with two torx screws. Be careful to note the location and presence of the o-ring for reinstallation.

I usually just spray them with a good stream of carb cleaner or brake cleaner to remove the deposits. I've seen some so bad they were basically stuck in a certain position and caused the car to not idle, a simple cleaning was all it took.
