Rev Limiter

Hello,

I recently took my 2001 WS6 6-Speed Hurst Out

Tacked it up and let it rip.

About 5 grand in first, When I went to second It felt like the car took over and bogged down (Kinda like if traction control was engaged on wet pavement)

Does the Rev Limiter Hold the car at a fixed speed in that gear until you get out of it.

Any help is appreciated.

I guess you could say that.

You can only go the speed that is 5000rpm in 1st/2nd/3rd/etc.
It's not really a fixed speed though.

What is the max Rpm on a 02 WS6 Before the rev limiter takes over

When I hit 5000 the Car seemed to hold that position, and Not let me go any farther up. And when I pulled 2nd Gear the Held at about 4500 until I got out of it.

Then It responded but not until I put it in neutral for a second.

Yea you probably hit the rev limiter.
Get a computer programmer/tuner and and raise it about 300rpms higher. You won't make any more power but it'll keep you from bouncing off the limiter.

bull shit, i drove a stock WS6 car and could take it up that high still making power. mine right now makes power untill 7,200 RPMs, because of cam, and how i wanted the car set up to stay in the higher RPM's when im racing.
