Two races this weekend.
1st race 20mph roll:
Through 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear dead even, great race. We were side by side the whole time.
2nd race from a stop:
Put 1.5 car lengths on him instantly and he shut down. I told him afterwards I had M/T ET street radials. So he didn't feel to bad about the beating he took off the line.
All in all I'm impressed at the progress I'm making with the mustang. Not bad considering the lower end has over 186,000 miles!!!

What's the point of your post? You are obviously a newbie like I am but you're posting on a LS1 site about your Mustang beating a T/A. I think it's a bit inflammatory. My .02....
P.S. You also don't mention your mods if any and what your track times are....

Not a newbie, old account was lost?
Anyway major mods are:
AFR 165cc heads
ported cobra intake
Crane cams 2031 grind camshaft.
Along with other misc. bolt-ons
The point of the post was to share a story about some runs with an LS1.

Oh 1/4 times:
13.8 @ 102.4
This was with the new heads but hadn't dialed in the timing at that point. Also my LCA bushings were broken which is why the rear of the driveshaft was hitting the floorboard on the upshifts.
Hoping to get in the low 13's next time to the track with the sticky tires.

if you dont do mid to high 12's find a driver nothing worse than seeing 12 second parts on a high 13 second car

We'll need to do a leakdown test to determine if the 186,000 mile stock short block has run its course.
I agree the parts say 12's
