So i was putting my 4.10s in the other day and i came across a rather large problem. my torque arm is broken by the back bolt that is right in front of the differential. my question is what aftermarket torque arm is the best to go with? i have it temporarily welded until i can get ahold of an aftermarket one. thanks

if my car is lowered do i need to get an adj. torque arm? is it a necessity or not so much?

is it necessary? no. if all you are doing is driving it around, not racing it, then get a standard one. if you ever plan on playing with the car, then get the adjustable one.

I picked up a used Spohn unit. If I was buying new I'd definitely go UMI. I have their Adj. PHR and LCAs. UMI is superb quality/customer service at a lower price than the competition. Don't get me wrong though, there's nothing wrong with Spohn, I just greatly appreciated the above and beyond customer service I got from Ryan at UMI.

I wouldnt replace it with another stock unit. I personally am running the spohn tunnel mounted TA, but its noisy. Get an adjustable tranny mounted one.
1. it will be much more rigid than the stocker and less likely to break
2. if you do decide to mod more in the future, you'll have the adjustablity for the track and know it can handle the beating. I also vote for UMI, quality, customer service and price are all great!

I got the UMI shock tower brace and 3 point SFCs. High quality, very good instructions, and great price. I will buy their stuff for all my upgrades.

because its mounted to the frame, it transfers that much more road noise. the knock is either the back bracket banging or the front shackle being loose.
