WS9 hood???

Does anyone know the name of the company that is going to make this hood now? Since the other guy stopped. I got the name once but lost it, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

This is how a WS9 hood looks like. It's like the WS6 but has heat extractors on the two sides

^^^^ Yup. Talked to them and they said that Roger was helping them finish the mold and they were hoping to start making the hoods within a month.

VFN is in production with the hoods and last rumor says that the production for the public is about a month away but who knows how accurate this is,

Okay here is the story FROM ROGER the orignal designer of the hood... He got with VFN so them could start making the WS9 and WS9 outlaw hoods and also because Roger started getting invovled with the Viper world, HE DID NOT GIVE THEM ANY MOLDS!!! The VFN hoods are based off the first line run of Roger's hoods. From the sounds of it they are having fitment issues with the new desgins and are working on fixing them as we speak. Supposed to be able to started ordering them anyday now.

does anyone know about the fiberglass ws6 hood on sale at allienmotorsports...price is 549 i wonder if the fit is good...much cheaper than the others,seems to good to be true any help would be nice.

I found two even cheaper than that, one is at boa-fx.com, its like 440.00. Obviously skeptical, I emailed them playing devils advocate, saying that I heard there hoods are cheaper because they wont fit the car properly and they are just overall of less quality materials. Well in the reply the guy seemed shocked that I would think such a thing, saying "..I dont know where you would ever get the idea our hoods wont fit..." and that he guaranteed his hoods were the best built on the market, saying about hand laid fiberglass and all that. So I dont know he said they even use the factory hardware. Its a good deal there are even pictures of customers cars on the website all the TA's look perfect. The other one was even cheaper than that, it was like 395.00 but it was called a 'pin on hood' I still need to call them this was at ws6store.com Check them out and see for yourself, but I will be calling both of them..tomorrow actually Ill let you all know what they tell me :)

Anyone else know where to pick up the WS-9 hood for a decent price.... On ebay around christmas, us exotics was selling a final batch on ebay for $650... was alittle too much for me so i didnt jump for it but i know they dont make them anymore and VFN should be picking them up soon but anyone know any place else that might carry them or anyone else selling one?

Yea thats the only thing I hae about them, the price, and I also I heard its a hit or miss with the quality of the hood. Gonna have to make sure Mecham gives you a money back offer or something if their hood is shit

I called both places, no answer to either one. They don't even put you on hold, you get a machine saying "thanks for calling business X, leave your name and number and we will call you right back." So I did, left my name, number for both, and no reply from either place. Seems a bit outrageous they don't have some kind of customer service thing where you just chill on hold for 3 hours until someone can take your call. Oh well, give em another try tomorrow.

I don't know what the deal is I've tried both places twice..to me the quality of the service is a good representation for the quality of the parts..I might have to go with Summit instead.

It's a nice hood but i've heard NOTHING but bad things about the hood.... Poor quality, horrible fitment, cracks easily, shows strech marks and for $1000 for this hood i mean it's nice and all but the quailty DOESNT add up!

Hes probably talking about the mecham hood. I've heard the same about it. It looks great but the quality is horrible.

IM sorry that was the mecham 4 point extractor hood i was talking about.... Sorry 4 not being more clear... As far as the original US Exotics WS9 and WS9 Outlaw hood.... Both are VERY VERY well made so you have nothing to worry about!!:yup:
