Out of three runs my best was 15.697 and it was against my buddys '88 Trans Am GTA, and I was actually in the lead for a bit of the time and only lost by .1902 but every time up I did spin the tires a little bit.

Practice makes perfect... trust me i had too learn the hard way. I'm guessin you have the 3.8l v6 right? If so the best performance mod you could do is upgrade too a v-8. but thats just my op.

I know however I can't afford the insurance right now. I hope to get an LS1after college but I want to work with what I have for now or until then.

How do you improve as far as modifications or driving? There are quite a few options open to you as far as aftermarket goes, but cutting down your 1/4 mile time can turn expensive fast. Do you have anything in mind at the moment?

Well I just ordered headers today. Next will probably be CAI but I'm also hoping to put in a cam this summer

one good way to cut down your ET is all in how you stage and your launch i was able to shave about 0.20 by watch how other people stage and making several passes myself. find what works for your car and run with it.

One of the easiet ways to improve track times without going too extreme is to buy some drag radials and a torque converter. The TC will help your times BIG-TIME! Get the headers put on, put a cam in it, put the TC in, hook up the nitrous, and you'll be kicking ass!!!!!

that's what I used to think man because I'm in school too hahaha. If you find one for a good price you can possibly get your parents to help out with the insurance. that's what I'm doing, but I only have like 2years left in school. engineering is a bitch hahaha

You could always get a supercharger for it. But to improve on what you have I'd look into practicing the launch and possibly some suspension work to get that 60' down nice and low

True. I know of someone who was selling a used kit on another forum. Anyone interested can PM me and I'll let you know the site...not sure if its still for sale.

Thank you for all your suggestions. My headers and cat came in this past week while I was on vacation so they should be going on very soon. I think supercharger is the way I would like to go so hopefully I'll be able to get one soon

Nope. Their motors are sideways so it is much MUCH more complicated. With all the customizing I'd be better off fabing my own kit up.
