Idle Problem. + others.

1991 Firebird V8,

Ok here goes what its doing,
In the Morning it Idles way past 1000 rpms, then after about 5 to 10 mins, it goes into normal idle, also sounds like a miss or idles funny all day sometimes.

Tranny also jerks into gear when in reverse or overdrive.
Anyideas what to look for?

I dont think that is a biggie. My ws6 idles about 1200 rpms upon starting and if u let it set for like 10 seconds it will drop to 800

For you idling problems... I can't really suggest anything other than getting a qualified mechanic to look at it, they should be able to fix whatever the problem is relatively cheap... so find a mechanic you trust/like... that's what I did anyways =P

As for you tranny, I was also having the same difficulties.... check out your tranny mount... esy enough to spot... mine looked like it had exploded =[ Costs of replacing it are really cheap as well... I think I paid $15 for a new mount and I already had a jack =P Bit of a pain in the ass to do yourself but it saves about $200 (quote)
