OMG this mustang was so weak..

I was at the gas station and I heard a beast coming down the road sounded like the person was acting a fool. So when he goes by switchin lanes and clownin on the other cars like hes the fastest thing on the road I just see him as fresh prey:burnout: So I get after him and this thing sounds good so i'm like line em up over on outer drive and so we get over there and I signal him to go (30mph) he goes i go I pull 2 cars and let off. Hes like DAMN you know how to shift that thing. I say yeah.. Lets go from this light. We go I dont spin he spins a little I pull like hes driving an escort. When I got up about 4 cars I let off. He gave me my props and I told him he should come down to the races. HE had a borla thats why it sounded so fast.
I raced another mustang the next day that wasnt just sound.

I think stock GTs are very weak but that dont mean you cant make a lot of power out of them

Actually last night on the way to the drag strip I tryed to get me a mustang Gt ,but this guy was actually modded.He had a computer screen on his dash and his a-piller had three gauges on it. I could barely pull on this guy. In the end we never got to run but I think he would have made a damn good race.

Hey I ate a few rustangs so far as well. I have never been beat yet, the last rustang driver said I should race a mach 1. I want to. Some of the older ones are fast, these newer ones just don't have any mods yet. What am I gonna race when I get a procharger?

Driving home from the drag strip late Friday night, going the speed limit on the highway. I was passing a GT going about 5MPH under the limit, I had my finger in the turn signal getting ready to change to his lane when he nails it. He was about 4 lengths in front by the time I realized what happened and shifted to 4th. I caught and passed him at 115. Then I slowed to 60 to let him catch up. When he passes me he nails it again, well, it ended with the same result... He stayed behind me for a few exits before I turned off. Next time I'll just laugh and save my gas.

I'm going to order a high flow converter within the next week.

well i lost to a riced out crx at the track,(I got a 15.2) to much:drivin: but it was my first time so i dont care. when we left I passed him on the highway then he started messing with me thinking my car was slow. All and all i kick his ass and showed him its not the car that sucks its the driver.

Yep the mach 1s are faster than the gts. With just a cai and a tuner i ran 13.5 at 105. Last time at the track i ran 12.9 at 109.

Possibilities.......

1) The guy was a clown who didn't know what he was biting off

2) The guy knew full well what he was biting off and just wanted to egg you on

3) He was trying to beat you and not your car


From your post I would vote for 2 or 3. Most sensible stang owners know what they are getting into with a T/A, Z, SS, GTO, and won't jump unless they have the mods to compete. The rest usually fall under one of the categories above...........:drivin:

i agree that stock 2 valve GTs are weak. They don't make much power and torque. I mean the 99-04 mustangs were still getting beat by LT1 camaros that were years older... Never mind the LS1...

In 03/04 Ford stopped playing games though, and the Mach 1 and Cobras command respect.

mustangs can be funny that way though. I know someone w/ a 97 GT vert and the thing sounds like a damn big block going down the road, but it's slow as all hell. The thing doesn't even get out of it's own way... Thats what true duel exhaust w/ an h pipe and some straight through mufflers can do.

I get a laugh sometimes because people are scared of it just because of how it sounds...

haha this thread is funny i ran an 03 Cobra at the track and he ran a 13 flat with a 2.0 60' , so i think that is very good for a stock car IMO

I had a 94 Vert GT that sounded and looked better than my 99 T/A, but it wasnt that fast. I mean, there was so much shit done to that car too and it still sucked in the speed department. However, the sound and look was so nice, I still kinda miss it. The bark just never matched the bite.
