Deep within the Victory Racing Engines compound, work feverishly continues on project 02SilverZ. The car has changed dramatically since it was out last season, and its hardly recognizable to its former 11.30 head and cam self. The project is sheduled to wrap up in early August, testing and dyno pulls to follow. Here’s a quick, inside look at the project coming together.

Is it going to be a street/strip car or just a 1/4 mile KING:drivin:

The car was built for a specific class. We were hoping to catch a few NSCA races in their bracket classes. Seeing how late it is in the year, we'll probably push to next year but only time will tell.

We cut the cowl a little and might trim it up some more. As for the header they are Kooks that we coated black.

That sounds mean as hell! One stupid question though...it looks carborated (sorry for spelling), is it? And if so why would you want carborated over fuel injection? I've always heard carborators are a pain to get to work just right.

Eric@VictoryRacing

It is still fuel injected. That is and Accel throttle body on the manifold, not a carb. We decided to do something a little different and use that instead of an Accu-Fab elbow and 90mm throttle body.
