Hey Im changing out the tensioner pully under the alternator that runs the AC thing. The write up on Intall university says to tighten it to 35 foot lbs of torque.. is this the same... and do I just remove the center bold on the pully for the belt to come off.. also do I have to take the drive belt off too in order to do the AC belt install. Last one... its making a rattling noise now... what will happen if I dont change out a pully with a bad bearing? Thanks Guys

It might freeze up on you, or worse you will have to put up with that fucked up chirping noise.... Just replaced mine the other day. Yes remove serpentine belt first. Use 15mm, i think it's 15mm on the bracket bolt to remove a/c tensioner pulley then just wiggle it out, belt drops right off. That's it ure done. Good idea to replace the belt while you are at it. :shots:

Do I torque it down to a certain spec or is that not important?

Tighten it by hand if you can, then give it another half to three quarter turn with the ratchet. Thats what i did, it's all good :shots:
