security light on?

I have a 97 LT1 car. the security light has come on a couple of times in the last month. it comes on while driving, stays on for a couple of minutes and then goes off. the first time it stayed on for ten minutes and just shut off. the second time, it stayed on for about five minutes.

anyone?

Have you already tried another key/cleaned the pellet on the one your using? Maybe VATS wiring/lock cyl going bad? You can try to disable it with a resistor http://shbox.com/1/vats_bypass.jpg Key pellet resistor values are at http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#pass_key
