im looking to get a factory cd changer and install it into my SS. i'm not sure if i have the wiring to the back of the car or not...i have heard they all were built with it in there i cant seem to find it. although i havnt dug too deep, is this install an easy one and what will i need?

In my '00 SS Coupe I found the wire on the driver side under the panel that holds the very rear speaker. My only problem was figuring out where the stock changers were mounted (exact position) and with what brackets. GM Parts was no help and I have yet to figure out how and where to mount it. I could use some help/detailed pics of location and brackets too...

But really, thats the last of my concerns because the left rear quater needs to be replaced before I get back to the CD changer issue.

My car didn't come with one and has the connector, was taped to the harness going to the back of the car on the left hand side under the panel.

Camaro's have three brackets - 10274252, 10274254 and 10276577.

wiring is built into all cars, driver side and taped up and tucked up if not used, so you'd have to pull the whole plastic piece off and look under it to find it.

Camaro's have three brackets - 10274252, 10274254 and 10276577.

Got those PN's from another site, all good numbers...but after looking it up in my helms it only shows a bracket on the left side, and one on the right side (don't know which PN's are which, sorry). The left side bracket is level across the top, the right side bracket front bolt is higher than the back. Unfortunately doesn't show exact position or any measurements for placement.
