wheels for the wife's car

got some silver C5 wheels. she wants to paint them black. 17 x 8.5 front and 18 x 9.5 rear

I hate black rims and don't get the new found appeal of them. They just look dirty IMO. I can handle gloss black with a polished lip..don't like it but can handle it. All black is just gross.

If she really want to do something to them... how about going the other direction?? WHITE WHEELS!!!!!!!!

we talked about white wheels. the brake dust kills white paint too much and will fade out.

gloss black looks better than medium or flat though...not really a fan of black/white cars either....WHAT is this HYPER-BLACK ????????

It is a blackish colored chrome finish.

the wheels are for the wife's white car, actually. i had been debating putting black wheels on my car. so, this was an opportunity to see it firsthand. she didn't want a polished lip on her wheels.

yep. she's contemplating a pink lip on them now. plus we are thinking about painting the calipers silver an putting words on them. right now, they are pink. still have to get the pink firebird stickers for the center caps.

Who are you asking me or mrr23 ?:think: If you're asking me Brent makes them to last, i'm sure if you ever have a problem with the headrest decals, he will replace em' at no charge, he's cool guy. He's the only one i deal with when it comes to decals.... No problems overhere!!! :nana:

i had ours custom embroidered by a guy that's on a lot of boards. don't know if he was a sponsor here at one time. i can get you his website. did a great job for the price and turn around time was good as well.

she wanted black wheels. i said , why not all pink. she said hell no. then after they got painted black, she thought well maybe all pink. women. anyways, her latest thought is paint the inserts pink and leave the spokes black. my thought is do a pink ring around where the tire meets the wheel.

was driving next to her car one day. when in motion, you can't see the wheels. all you see is the tire, rotor and caliper. i need to video it one day. i think it looks neat as all get out.
