Never realized how bad the blind-spot is on the 'vert, I've had a few different t-top cars and the rear hatch glass provides plenty of side/rear vision, but the back glass is so tiny on the vert, I just pray I can get used to it! Anyone else hate the large blind spot on their vert?
Joe.

Most of the time my top is down. But when it is up, I use a 5-panel mirror which eliminates most of them.

Where did you find this magical mirror? Is it something just like a rounded convex mirror? What does it look like?

Wow, that's quiet a mirror! Yes, the blindspot is bad. Yes, you learn to get use to it. I don't even think about it anymore.

how's your outside mnirrors setup ?
if you see rear quarter panels, adjust them... the rear quarter panels will remain there... they aren't going anywhere... so use the available mirror space wisely.
@ track and on the street, i put them out, so that you barely miss the quarter panel when looking @ the mirror... ie, if you move slightly your head, you then start seeing your quarter panel... that almost eliminates any blind spot.

Thats excactly what I do too. The top is down at most times but its something you'll get used to in time.

Just keep the top down all the time and the problem is solved! When I had a vert I had to put the top down to back out of some situations. Someone needs to design a top with glass in the corners. They would make a killing on it.

I highly recommend this option.....not just for the T/A but for all vehicles. What good do side-view mirrors do if you only see the same thing that you can already see thru the rear view mirror? As Eugenio recommended, I set mine so that the rear quarter panel is just out of sight. This also helps tremendously for keeping headlights out of your eyes from the side-view mirror when a truck/SUV pulls up behind you.
