I just mounted some early C5 aluminum wheels/tires on my 99Z28 and I seem to occasionally get some rubbing on the inside fender when I hit bumps. Everything I have ever read said they would fit without any kind of modifications. They are the 275/40/18's in the back. Do I need some sort of spacer? How much? Where would I get one? This is going to be my daily driver very soon, and I don't want to mess up my tires because they are rubbing. The last thing I want is a blowout going down the interstate.

you should've put 275/35-18 in the back so that the overall diameter was the same as stock... the whole tire is 1" taller than stock size.
Look where they rub... chances are it's in the inner fender... looking into the wheel-well, it'll be @ the 10 o'clock position if watching it on the drivers side, or @ 2 o'clock on the passenger side.

I keep hearing about the BFH mod...which I assume means big fukin hammer. Where should I hammer the inside fender? Is there anything in there that I can hurt?

you are exact... it won't hurt anything... there are 2 small bumps sticking out and those are the common places it rubs... some people even get rubbing with stock wheels/tires (long live GM tolerences)
Just massage the inner fender where you see it start shining (due to rubbing)... the bigger the BFH, the better.

Thanks for the info, I'll see what I can do this weekend.
