hey guys hope someone can help me. a few days ago i changed the brakes on my z i put everything back the same way but i noticed that after i tightened the nut on the caliper it could still move back and forth and i also noticed that the brake hardware (if thats what it's called) that goes in the middle of the caliper was loose and i couldnt get it to stay properly in the center it would keep moving ,so i put it the caliper back really slow so the hardware wouldnt move but it still might of moved . well anyway ever since then i keep hearing a noise coming from the same side . sometimes it sounds like a thumping . question is could it be the caliper is loose ? i checked the screws and they were tight . hope i made sense with the stuff i wrote here thanks in advance guys.

If you are talking about the pins with the rubber boot on them, they are supposed to move back & forth. In fact, you should have gotten a special grease in your brake set for that very purpose.
The torque for them is 31 Ft. Lbs.

I'm guessing the "hardware" you are speaking of is your anti rattle springs.
Get them on correctly. If you're having trouble with one, use an old one.
