Well, unfortunately I've got a shitload of problems so the car will be parked in the garage for a couple of weeks. The upper control arm is bent on the passenger side, the front end is out of alignment, the transmission mount is broken and the brake pads are scorched. I just installed those pads and rotors a month or two ago. They are the powerslot rotors and Green stuff pads, oh well. How hard is it to replace the upper control arm? I'm going to buy the spohn tubular upper with polyurethane bushings, better arm for less money. :dunno:

I didn't do anything, the wife must have smacked the hell outta a curb or something to break the upper control arm which is one reason why the bumper cover started spiderwebbing. I've allready ordered the polyurethane transmission mount and upper control arms. Hell, I might as well put new shocks and Eibach sportline springs on the car while I'm at it.

I jacked the car up last night and looked at the rotors and pads but I couldn't find anything wrong with them. The pads still have plenty of life left and the rotors looked new. The only thing I can think of is the way the car was shaking, popping and cracking must've made that mechanic think the brakes were bad in the front, hell I don't know. The rotors don't look warped because I spun the rotor and it was straight as an arrow. The upper control arm on the left side is definately messed up though, it's cracked along the back nearest the inner fender well and is bent like a SOB around the ball joint. I bet this is going to be a bitch to change out

get a prokit not sportline you will be much more happy. I do not think it is extremely hard to swap the control arm out. did my springs myself, didnt seem to be too hard.

the brakes are prolly fine but if you really wanted to you could deglaze them both with sandpaper but prolly not necessary

If your rotors aren't warped that makes you the only f-body in the world without warped rotors. :D Congrats on the achievement. Now go out and brake from high speeds once so your rotors will be warped like everyone elses. :D

I warped the factory rotors which is the reason I replaced them with these crossdrilled and slotted rotors. The brakes are fine, I've allready replaced the transmission mount, torque arm mount and both upper control arms. Drives like brand new again thank God.
