I don't understand why Viper owners are so......don't really know what term best describes their attitude, but, they never seem to understand the golden rule of "there's always something faster." My son & I are @ the track for our once in a while grudge night runs & on this night there's a Viper there. Really a nice car, V10, headers, high flow cats w/resonators & no mufflers. Also had that dual RAM air intake mod. Unfortuneately, the cars owner wasn't as nice & was extremely cocky about its' ability. Obviously not a drag strip regular as one knows better than to spout off in the presence of a lot full of sleepers. So, there's a local guy here who has an RX-7 with the twin turbo Grand National engine in it. He works @ a dyno shop & plays with its' power on a regular basis. The RX-7 owner hears the Viper's slithering talk & calls him out. Rx-7 runs a 10.6 & the Viper a 12.7.....no contest. As is usually the case, the guy running his mouth can't drive either. He seemed pissed too, didn't stick around for the follow up discussion, just slithered off the grounds with his a** in his hands :cry:. It was enjoyable to watch only because of the guys attitude. Those cars are sweet though...too bad for him.
I know that the genre of the stories here should be LS1 based, but, had to post this one. @ least it was a GM engine doing the job.
