Get yourself a hp performance turbo kit or a Pro turbo sysems kit.
It will set you back about 6k for a single turbo kit,but then you will see 450-500 hp @wheels.

if u got a turbo kit, 450 to 500 at the wheels would be the turbo on its lowest setting

Yeah black,
it would be like 6 psi, because of the stock cr. lower it to 8.5 and you see an
easy 600 at the wheels, still on pretty low boost.

Hmm.. I found this on their site
STS turbo systems are also one of the few turbo systems that have a CARB EO #, which means they've been tested and shown not to interfere with the emissions of a vehicle. Currently, the Camaro, 5.3L and 6.0L GM Trucks/SUVs and the Pontiac GTO are covered under EO# D-593.
From CARB:
EO: D-593 View PDF (http://arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/devices/eo/D-593.pdf)
EO Date: 8/3/2005
Manufacturer Name: Squires Turbo Systems, Inc.
Device: Turbocharger Kit
Device Type: Turbocharger System/ Turbocharger Modification
Model_Specification:
1999 through 2005 model year General Motors trucks equipped with V8 engines, 2004 and 2005 model year Pontiac GTO vehicles equipped with a V8 engine, and 1998 through 2002 model year Camaro/Firebird vehicles equipped with a V8 engine
Modification_Allowed:
The Turbocharger Kit includes the following main parts: Garrett turbocharger, model number T04E 60-1 (Trim P, 0.81 A/R turbine, 0.6 A/R compressor), piping from the throttle body to the turbocharger, piping after the muffler to the turbocharger, open element air filter, wastegate, and PCV switch valve. Control module is reprogrammed using a hand held programmer with no user adjustments. Installation requires the air filter to be located near the rear wheel fender. Passenger cars will have an open element filter and trucks may have either an open element filter or a closed element snorkel kit. Boost is limited to 6 pounds per square inch.

*At this moment all systems are for off-road use only in California, except for the Pontiac 5.7L GTO which has an EO# D-593.
The STS(tm) Turbo System is installed after the catalytic converter, so for most states your vehicle will pass emissions. Check with your state emissions for specific regulations.
if you go to there site and click products all the way at the bottom it says that

If your looking to pass emissions I think your only options are STS for turbo or P1sc for superchargers.
